Riva del Garda

Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy is one of my favorite holiday destinations. The lake is breathtakingly beautiful with countless places to visit on or nearby the lake such as the ancient fortified town SirmioneVerona the setting for Romeo and Juliet, and the Italian theme park Gardaland. The perfect setting for a girly holiday. Having never visited the Northern part of the lake before we were sure to jam pack our week spent there making the most of the scenic area and delicious food.

Girly holidays require fruity cocktails in an array of colors, yummy. Maxi dress from River Island summer sale 2/3 years ago. Riva is full of little bars and restaurants along the lakeside with delicious ice cream and cocktails, I plunged for strawberry flavored everything.

Aztec print dress and studded flip flops were both bought in Primark holiday shopping binge, the dress was €15 and flip flops around €5. I love jelly flip flops like these, they just wipe clean.

Parco Grotta Cascata Varone: Varone waterfall in Riva del garda was incredible, it took nearly an hour to walk there in 30 plus heat, but it was worth it for the view and the refreshing cold air after the grueling trek. It's a 3km bus ride from Riva, we were unaware that the local bus goes straight there for a €1, so be sure to catch that if you'd like to visit it!

Dress from H&M (€25) and statement necklace €5 Primark.

And more cocktails. Dress H&M (€15), my nail polish is Shellac, I have left regular polish behind and I'm all about the Shellac. I love how shiny it looks, how long it lasts (mine lasted 4 weeks) and the wide range of colors. Not every salon offers alot of colors but where I go they offer the full selection which has everything from nudes to metallic to glitter finishes. I've had them done twice this summer, worn for 8 weeks in total and I was surprised to find my nails were in really good condition after they were removed.

Pool at Hotel Bristol Hotel Bristol with a view of the mountain

Caught in a thunderstorm on our last night but it didn't dampen our spirits or hunger for Bruschetta and pizza. If your in Riva and want some really amazing Italian food definitely drop into Ristorante Pizzeria Leon d'Oro, they have an amazing selection of pizza. Dress River Island, flipflops Primark and studded clutch Primark.

Looking out at the rain pelleting down as autumn kicks into full swing I wish I was back in Italy, lying by the pool...
